Matryoshka Dolls

I forgot to write about them earlier, but I have two sets of matryoshka dolls. Both sets are hand-carved, and hand-painted. The set on the right came from a sweet blog friend of Mama's. The set on the left I got for Christmas.

This is me holding the smallest doll of the red set, which is smaller:

Which set do you like better -- the blue set, or the red set???

I'm Learning Chess!

This past month Ken taught me how to play Chess! And I'm pretty good at it. I've probably played about 30 games (in my whole life), and, even though I have won 0 times, I have captured his Queen (2 times). You know what? For me and the White King, the Black Queen (Ken's) is the most dangerous piece on the board to the White King (mine). In every game, the White Queen is captured, but one time a White Pawn (one of mine) was able to sneak in and got the White Queen back. Of course, that Pawn (I think) was captured, but it wasn't a big deal, because its just a Pawn. Here's a picture of me and Ken playing Chess.chess

Hula-Hoop!

Last night Mama gave me a hula hoop! Its silver-colored, and it has a liquid in it that makes a neat sound when you're hula-hooping! Now let me tell you why I got it. On Thursday, Mama had a ladies get-together at our house, and so because I went to bed when I was told, and didn't get mad, I was suprised with a hula-hoop! Mama said she won't give me somthing every time, but she said that she gave me this to say thank you and I love you. THANK YOU, MAMA!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and I just saw these hawks that were in a tree, and then circled down together, but at each other. Weird.

It fits her, and there is a company called Nick & Nora. They make p.j.'s that have sock monkey's on them. And they make sock monkey slippers. I have them both. Here is a picture of me (take a deep breath) with Nora, sock monkey slippers, and sock monkey p.j.'s.I know, but there's sock monkey's EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this house, and speaking of doll's and dollhouse's, let me tell you about a book I love. Its called The Doll's House. And Tasha Tudor illustrated it! For more about her, click here. So anyway, as I was saying, in this book, there is a family of dolls, that live in a dollhouse. They are the Plantaganet family: Mr. Plantaganet, Mrs. Plantaganet (Birdie), Tottie, Apple, and Darner (the dog). Tottie, a wooden doll, Apple, a plush doll, Mrs. Plantaganet, a celluloid doll, and Mr. Plantaganet, a glass doll. Anyway, I love my dollhouse!
