Last night I finished reading a book called Five Children and It. Here is a bit about it. This is what happens when they decide to dig their way to Australia to see if the people there walk upside down. They find a Psammead (pronounced Sammyadd). Its furry, it has a fat body, bat ears, and eyes that go in and out like telescopes! And it gives them wishes. And wishes that they end up not liking! Like a castle (if you read the book you'll find out why they don't like any of their wishes), wings, their baby brother being wanted, having Indians around their house, etc. (P.S. It won't be so confusing if you read the book!)

Kathryn,
This sounds like a very interesting book. I think we all wish for things that might not be exactly what we want or need sometimes.
Love,
Ms. Marsha
Isn't reading so much fun ? :)
You made this book sound very interesting and I am curious about the story and why their wishes turn out to their liking.
My first grandchild is due in January. I think I'll keep the name of this book to read together when he or she is about your age.
Thank you,
Mrs Farley
Sounds like a pretty good story to me. My little girl is still too young too read, but I may get some ideas from you on books for her in the future:)
Thanks for telling us about it.
